This is a fabulous toy and our boy Bentley LOVES it! He spends a lot of time carrying it proudly around the house, using the ends to throw it for himself, and merrily chasing & fetching it long distances at the park. He had the light blue puppy Wubba as a little guy (8 weeks), and loved it just as much then. In fact, we still have the puppy version (in addition to the adult version) and it is dirty, but still intact. I suspect if I took the time to wash the slobber off of it, it would look darn near new. We love it and our dog gets hours of enjoyment out of a relatively inexpensive toy.
So many of the reviewers here are slamming this toy because they clearly do not understand their dog's needs and temperament. I have a 50 lb., 10 month-old Pitbull and this is far and wide his favorite toy. He is not the type to rip his toys into tiny shreds, and knowing this I let him play with the Wubba while supervised. The only toys he is allowed to have unsupervised are SUPER durable balls and bones. Nothing with material, squeakers, fuzz (like a typical tennis ball), etc. If your dog is a heavy-duty chewer, this is not the toy for you! If your dog does well not destroying stuffed toys, this one should be fine also. Just because KONG is generally a good, tough brand doesn't mean a determined dog can't chew threw something like this. Please realize that dogs are forever children; they need to be monitored and it is up to YOU to keep your best friend safe. |
We have a winner!

I guarantee, your dog will love this. I picked this up for our Border Collie/Lab mix, and it is his favorite toy. However, he is not a gnawer/shredder, and those stuffed toys with the squeakers inside will last for at least a month, or until stuffing is visible. If your dog is El Destructo, this is meant for supervised play only. My in-laws report that their dachshund loved hers to death within a day, which makes sense because she is a determined toy excavator. However, she is still obsessed with the remaining pieces. YMMV!
Our dog is more about the food and the love than playing with toys, but this always holds his interest. It's great for fetching, as well as catching in mid-air, and will also stand up to pretty determined tug o'war. |
A whole lot of fun, and a good toy too.

| Our new Aussie needed a special toy of his own so I got him a Wubba. Wubba was used strictly for supervised play per the packet instructions. In 3 months the middle squeaker ball had been removed and relegated to another game. Wubba was now Wubba-carcass, just as fun to wave about but far less fun to chase. Another 3 months and he had the upper ball out as well. Wubba-skin is still with us still being waved around the house, shaken and tossed. 6 months in the clutches of a 3YO Aussie is an eternity, I'm getting another. |
